Description

Greek inscription on a mosaic from the church at el-Mkeitim in Jabaliya (near Gaza), dated c.528-530 CE. The dedication celebrations the priest Paulus' donation of the mosaic pavement, on his own behalf and on behalf of his sister, Maria, during the administration of a certain Procopius. Paulus and Maria are also known from other mosaics in the same church; see JAB0101-JAB0103, JAB0105.
