Description

A three-line Greek funerary inscription on a short column, with mouldings above and below.

Findspot

The original publication by Clermont-Ganneau records the cippus in a collection from Jaffa (with UNK0202) but its origin was purported to be north of Jaffa, while Clermont-Ganneau suspected the piece may have been originally from Cyprus; see discussion and bibliography, CIIP3, 1-2, no. 2161
