Description

Limestone ossuary decorated with rosettes and containing inscriptions in Greek and Hebrew/Aramaic written in charcoal for Ioudan, a proselyte of Tyre, and Shapira. Ioudan's name is written in both Greek and Hebrew/Aramaic, while Shapira appears only in the Hebrew/Aramaic, although possibly twice. Jerusalem, dated to the 1st c. BCE/CE.
